The Feasibility Study Eco-energy Town in Indonesia


The Korea Energy Economics Institute (hereinafter simply referred to as ‘KEEI’) and the ASEAN Centre for Energy (hereinafter simply referred to as ‘ACE’) held Joint Workshop entitled “The Feasibility Study Eco-energy Town in Indonesia” taking place on 29 November 2018 in Tasikmalaya, Indonesia. The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) of Republic of Korea provided a sponsorship to this Joint Workshop as a part of Sustainable Cities and Eco-energy Towns Initiative activities. This research focuses on introducing similar concept of Eco-energy Town model of Korea in the ASEAN region and analyzing conditions and possibility of converting landfill area in Ciangir, Tasikmalaya in Indonesia into 4.4MW Waste-to Energy plant to improve energy access and environmental sustainability, as well as contribute to socio-economic development in this village.
